Who We Are
At Siraj Institute, we believe that the Quran is the only source of true light, and that the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ is its explanation and completion.
وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ نُورًا مُّبِينًا
Allah says about the Quran: "We have sent down to you a clear light."
وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيرًا
And He says about His Prophet ﷺ: "and as a lamp, giving light."
From this perspective, we established Siraj (The Lamp) to bring people closer to the Book of Allah by teaching correct recitation and sound understanding.

The Ultimate Quran & Tajweed Roadmap — from first letter to a full Khatmah of recitation, and memorization for those who choose it.
Phase 1 — The Foundational Phase 2.5–3 months total
Arabic Alphabet Mastery
Pronouncing letters from their correct articulation points, recognizing letter shapes (beginning, middle, end of word), and mastering short and long vowels (Fatha, Damma, Kasra, and Madd).
Reading Full Words
Combining letters to read complete words smoothly, introducing Sukoon and Tanween.
Reading Full Sentences
Moving from single-word reading to full, compound sentences, preparing the student to open the Mushaf.
Phase 2 — Quranic Fluency & Tajweed 3–4 months total
Intro to Tajweed & Quran Reading
The student begins reading directly from the Mushaf alongside a practical Tajweed course focused on essential rules and correct articulation points.
Completing Juz Amma & Basic Tajweed
Completing recitation (or memorization, if desired) of Juz Amma while fully mastering the essential Tajweed rules (Madd, Ghunnah, Qalqalah, Raa rules), enabling independent reading anywhere in the Quran.
Phase 3 — The Mastery & Completion Phase
Full Quran Recitation Khatmah
The student starts with one Rub' (a quarter of a Hizb — roughly 1/8 of a Juz) per class, gradually increasing as their level and reading speed improve.
Full Quran Memorization Khatmah
Intensive track: 2.5–3 years (1–2 new pages per class with review). Regular track: 4–5 years (½–1 page per class), suited to children and busy schedules.
Full Quran Tafsir Journey — understand the meanings of the surahs recited daily, learn the reasons for revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul), and apply the verses in daily life (Tadabbur). Tailored for kids & adults.
The Foundation & Juz Amma
Surah Al-Fatiha and the complete Juz Amma. Kids: word meanings, surah stories (Al-Feel, Quraish, Al-Masad), lessons learned. Adults: the purposes of the surahs, reasons for revelation, daily messages relevant to prayer.
Juz Tabarak & The Meccan Gems
Juz Tabarak and selected surahs with profound spiritual and narrative impact (Al-Kahf, Ya-Sin, Yusuf, Luqman, Al-Hujurat). Kids: faith through creation, the story in Yusuf, etiquette in Al-Hujurat. Adults: ethics, prophets' stories, intellectual resilience.
The Long Surahs & Islamic Legislation
The major surahs (Al-Baqarah, Aal Imran, An-Nisa, Al-Ma'idah, Al-An'am, Al-A'raf, Al-Anfal, At-Tawbah). Kids: the major stories and their values. Adults: Islamic legislation, transactions, family building, jurisprudence of the Seerah.
Completion & Graduation
Tafsir of the remaining parts of the Quran (Surah Yunus to Surah Al-Hadid). The student completes the Tafsir of the entire Quran with understanding and reflection, and receives the "Certificate of Completing the Simplified Tafsir of the Book of Allah" from Siraj Institute.
The Ultimate Arabic Language Roadmap — from not knowing the letters to speaking fluently and understanding texts.
Phase 1 — Foundational Arabic 3 months total
Alphabet & Phonetics
Accurate pronunciation of Arabic sounds (especially heavier letters like Dhad and Kha), and how letters are written in their different forms.
Basic Vocabulary & Greetings
Memorizing basic vocabulary (numbers, colors, family members, days) and the ability to greet and introduce oneself.
Simple Sentence Building
Reading and constructing very short sentences ("This is my book," "I study Arabic") and understanding basic pronouns.
Phase 2 — Communicative Arabic 4–5 months total
Everyday Conversations
Managing full conversations in real-life situations — the market, the airport, school, ordering food, hobbies and weather.
Basic Grammar & Expression
Understanding sentence structure (nominal and verbal sentences, past and present tense) and expressing ideas in short, error-free paragraphs.
Phase 3 — Advanced Fluency 4–6 months, depending on level
Advanced Comprehension & Fluency
Reading complete stories and books, listening to and understanding programs, speaking fluently and confidently on general topics, and appreciating the beauty of Arabic rhetoric.
The Foundational Islamic Studies Roadmap — build the Muslim's awareness and equip them with the essential knowledge of their faith in an easy, practical style.
Essential Aqidah
Knowing Allah, the Five Pillars of Islam, the Six Pillars of Faith, and Tawheed presented in an engaging, story-based style suited to the modern mindset.
Practical Fiqh & Worship
A step-by-step practical course teaching purification (Taharah), correct ablution (Wudu), and prayer with its pillars and conditions, with hands-on practice during class.
Prophet's Seerah & Stories

All our classes are conducted online via Zoom. They are live, interactive, and strictly 1-on-1 to ensure your teacher's full attention is dedicated entirely to you or your child.

No, absolutely not. Even if you join our group discount plans to save on costs, every student enjoys a completely private schedule, a customized curriculum, and a dedicated teacher. Your classes remain 100% individual (1v1).
What happens if I or my child miss a class?+
We understand that life happens. Siraj Institute offers a highly flexible rescheduling policy. Upon finalizing your enrollment, you will receive a digital copy of our "Family Guide," which outlines all your rights and details our friendly options for rescheduling and making up missed classes.
